MISSOURI CIVIL WAR MUSEUM at JEFFERSON BARRACKS in ST. LOUIS
The museum is housed in a masterly restored Post Exchange & Gymnasium Building, built in 1905. It is located next to the Parade Ground on historic Jefferson Barracks. The museum is dedicated to preserving and protecting items and documents relating to Missouri’s Civil War history. Also the site of a national military cemetery established after the Civil War, containing the graves of both sides.
